Now that 2011 is winding down, I have a little present for
you. As part of the New Year’s / post-book release / 100 blog followers
celebration, I’m giving away some free stuff!
So the only rules are that you must comment on this blog
post. I won’t be doing the giveaway anywhere else, so this is the only place
you can win. You have until next Tuesday to enter (Jan. 3), and I’ll announce
the winners on Wednesday.
The prizes:
1) The Clockwork Giant in whatever format
you want, digital or paperback
2) $10
gift card to Amazon or Barnes & Noble
3) $5
gift card to Amazon or Barnes & Noble
To enter, just comment on this post, and tell me: what books
did you receive/read this holiday season?
I'm in the middle of reading Sean Sweeney's Model Agent. I haven't really received books during the month of December, but I've gotten quite a few over the past year. Probably enough to last me the rest of my life, really.
ReplyDeleteI received SHATTER ME from my lovely critique partner on my birthday, which was Dec. 11th, so very close to the holidays. I also bought UNTRACEABLE as a stocking stuffer for myself. I plan to start one of the two next week when I'm done with my current read: PAPER TOWNS.
ReplyDeleteI received the Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan and a few different books by Cassandra Clare. I've been reading a lot of e-books lately so I'm excited for some new hardcovers!
ReplyDeleteI guess I'll comment since I'm working through the kindle version of The Clockwork Giant and loving it!
ReplyDeleteJust finished chapter 6 of The Clockwork Giant. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI've completed The Clockwork Giant (loved it) and got The Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare. Right now, I'm getting deep into Become by Ali Cross.
ReplyDeleteI finally read Jennifer Brown's Hate List, which I loved, and just bought Okay for Now with a gift card.

I received The Ugly Truth by Jeff Kinney (you know me, still into the Wimpy Kid), Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling, and The Future of Us by Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler. <---Fantastic book. It's about a girl who gets onto her own Facebook in 1996, and trying to change/come to terms with her future. It's a good read, little cliche, but I'm also pretty cynical.
ReplyDeleteThis Christmas, I received a book on the topic of dreams, lucid dreaming, and dream sharing (and, no it is not written by Christopher Nolan :) anyways, it goes about explaining dream theories that major philosophers of our earlier days had asserted. Such philosophers as Aristotle, and Plato.
ReplyDeleteI received quite a few, actually. I received Stephen King's new book 11/22/63 as well as his last new release UNDER THE DOME. I also received Jay Asher's 13 REASONS WHY, and Patton Oswalt's ZOMBIE SPACESHIP WASTELAND. Love me some Patton Oswalt. He may be my favorite comedian ever. One of my friends back home got me THE STRANGE CASE OF ORIGAMI YODA by Tom Angleberger. I also found Eoin Colfer's contribution to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series AND ANOTHER THING on the super duper marked down bargain wrack and bought that for myself, if that counts.
ReplyDeleteI didn't receive any books this holiday season. :( I finished reading World War Z by Max Brooks over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI read Novel Blogging - a new ebook by Liberty Montano. Really excellent book on blogging/marketing for writers.
ReplyDeleteI actually managed to read some books during the Christmas break, hooray! Most were YA titles (The Space Between by Brenna Yovanoff and Possession by Elana Johnson), and a classic fantasy by Diana Wynne Jones...erm, it had 3 stories in it but I forgot the title of the book! *brain on holiday*
ReplyDeleteBtw, congrats on your launch of your debut, The Clockwork Giant! (sorry for the late greeting--was on blogging hiatus). And thanks for the giveaway!
i received Psalms to Soothe a Woman's Soul
